Watch: Texas Football Trolls Big 12 Commissioner Brett Yormark
Back in August, Big 12 Commissioner Brett Yormark stood before a crowd of Texas Tech donors at a Red Raiders luncheon and told Joey McGuire to “take care of business” against the Texas Longhorns in the final week of the 2023 season.
Well, McGuire had his chance at Steve Sarkisian and the Longhorns on Friday night, and let’s just say, it didn’t go as planned.
In a statement victory for the Longhorns, Texas made it a point to leave the Red Raiders with the second-most lopsided victory in series history, a 57-7 beatdown that moved UT to 11-1 on the year.
Late in the fourth quarter, Texas Football made sure and let the world know that it had kept the receipts from what Commissioner Yormark had to say back before the season kicked off.
The crowd in Austin erupted after this video played, and finished with the words “See Y’all in Arlington” across the jumbotron.
It appears that the Longhorns got the last laugh in this short saga, as Texas will be one of two teams with a chance to take home the 2023 Big 12 Championship next week inside AT&T Stadium.
