Kansas State Falls Off, Oklahoma State Climbs in Top 25 of Week 14 AP Poll

After a wild week of Big 12 football, with several underdogs winning on Saturday, there were some major shake-ups across the AP Poll this week.

Three Big 12 teams are ranked this week, with the Texas Longhorns remaining the league’s highest rank team at No. 7. Oklahoma climbed one place to the No. 12 spot, while Oklahoma State jumped up two places from No. 21 to No. 19.


Things started early on Friday morning with multiple big games to follow. Oklahoma took down TCU 69-45 while Texas earned a spot in the Big 12 title game with a 57-7 win over Texas Tech. Saturday morning kicked off with UCF taking down Houston 27-13, followed by Oklahoma State earning their spot in Arlington after a scare against BYU 40-34 in overtime. West Virginia narrowly clipped Baylor 34-31 while Kansas throttled Cincinnati 49-16. Iowa State sealed off the weekend with a 42-35 win in the snow against Kansas State.

Kansas State (41), Kansas (6) also received votes in this week’s poll.
