Nebraska Lands Four-Star OL Grant Brix Over K-State, Oklahoma

Matt Rhule and the Nebraska Cornhuskers won a massive recruiting battle on Tuesday night landing a commitment from four-star offensive lineman Grant Brix.

Brix is listed as the top player in the state of Iowa and after official visits to each of his top three schools, the top-100 prospect elected to join the Cornhuskers over the Oklahoma Sooners and the Kansas State Wildcats.

Brix was most recently in attendance for Kansas State’s Week 13 loss against Iowa State in the snow, and prior to that was in attendance for the Sooners’ win over Texas in the Red River Rivalry game.

The Iowa native is listed as a four-star prospect by the 247Sports index and currently checks in as the nation’s 81st-ranked prospect. Brix is also listed as the fifth-ranked OT in his class as well as the No. 1 player in the state of Iowa.

Brix spoke on his decision to join Nebraska saying, “I am excited to announce I am a Cornhusker! Although there were great things about all of my top three schools, I firmly believe in what is being built by Coach Rhule and his staff. I want to thank everyone who has helped me and made this process special. God bless and GBR!!”
