Kansas State Flips Three-Star CB Zashon Rich from Wyoming
Chris Klieman and the Kansas State Wildcats added a new name to the Class of 2024 with the commitment of three-star cornerback Zashon Rich.
Rich flipped his commitment from Wyoming to K-State after the Minnesota native watched his future team clash with Iowa State in the snow in Week 13 of the college football season.
Rich is listed as a three-star prospect by the 247Sports index and currently checks in as the nation’s 1819th-ranked prospect. He is also listed as the 94th-ranked corner in his class as well as the 10th overall player in the state of Minnesota.
Rich spoke on his decision to commit to Kansas State with 247Sports’ Allen Trieu saying, “I just feel like I fit right in with what the team is trying to do. They are great at developing guys and I feel like I can be one of the next great Wildcats.”
The Minnesota native will now head to Manhattan, Kansas instead of Laramie, Wyoming for the upcoming season as Rich gets set to help the Kansas State Wildcats and Joe Klanderman’s defense find their way back to the top of the Big 12 Conference.
