Joey McGuire and the Texas Tech Red Raiders will need to replace one of their best talents as wide receiver after sophomore Jerand Bradley announced that he intends to enter the transfer portal on Friday.
Bradley, listed at 6-foot-5, 220 pounds, out of DeSoto (Tex.)will immediately be one of the top players in the portal and has proven production to back up his impressive intangibles.
In 2022, Bradley’s redshirt freshman season, he became a key cog in the Texas Tech offense, recording 51 catches for 744 yards and 6 touchdowns. However, his production dipped as a sophomore in 2023 amidst Texas Tech’s offensive struggles, finishing the year with 36 catches for 431 yards and 4 touchdowns.
Bradley was selected to the Preseason All-Big 12 team and set records in 2022 with a 173-yard game against Oklahoma, which was the most by any FBS freshman in a regular season game.
Bradley was a three-star prospect out of high school and held 26 Division I offers, including Arizona, Arizona State, Baylor, Iowa State, and Kansas among others.
Now, after posting 1,274 yards and 10 touchdowns over two seasons, Bradley will look for a change of scenery and it could pay off very well for him with the NIL market growing every year.
