The Big 12 Conference added a new partner to collaborate with in Arlington for the Big 12 Championship striking a deal with Vince McMahon and the WWE.
With the addition of the WWE to the championship festivities, the conference announced that the MVP of the game would be taking home a WWE collaboration championship belt.
The Big 12 Conference and the WWE had multiple stars in attendance for the big game and showed off the MVP title in the arms of WWE legend, The Undertaker. The legendary WWE Championship belt is given out to the winner of the WWE Championship. Big 12 athletes will now have a chance to wear a legendary belt of their own.
The Undertaker spent more than 30 years as a professional wrestler in the WWE and entered the Hall of Fame in 2022. He became the longest-tenured wrestler in WWE history after accumulating 30 years in the ring.
While Big 12 fans may not get to see any Rock Bottoms, Stone Cold Stunners, or The People’s Elbow on the football field, the MVP of the Big 12 Championship game will take the first step towards the wrestling ring by sporting the first ever belt of its kind.
