While the transfer portal doesn’t officially open until Monday, Oklahoma State DB Ladarius Webb Jr. made short work of his announcement entering the transfer portal hours after losing the Big 12 Championship Game against Texas.

Webb Jr. announced on social media following the 49-21 loss that he would be entering the transfer portal with two years of eligibility remaining.

Webb Jr. joined the Cowboys at the start of the 2023 season after spending two seasons at Jones College. Son of legendary Ravens defensive back Lardarius Webb Sr., Webb Jr. was listed as a three-star JUCO prospect by the 247Sports index in the class of 2023. The Mississippi native checked in as the 45th-ranked player in his class as well as the ninth-ranked player at his position, and the ninth-ranked player in the state of Mississippi.

Webb played 10 games at Jones College for the Bobcats and earned First Team All-MACCC honors as a freshman. Webb had 29 tackles, three tackles-for-loss, nine pass breakups, and three interceptions. His nine pass breakups tied him for the 12th-most in the NJCAA.

While Mike Gundy and the Oklahoma State Cowboys may not have taken home a Big 12 title in 2023, the team will look forward to one final game after their bowl game gets announced on Sunday.
