All Big 12 Women’s Teams Ranked In NCAA NET Top 100

NCAA Womens Basketball: Texas at Tennessee

Each of the 14 Big 12 women’s basketball teams were ranked in the Top 100 of the NCAA NET ratings when they debuted on Monday.

The NCAA NET ratings for women’s basketball aren’t as in-depth as the men’s NET ratings. For instance, the women’s rating doesn’t designate Quadrant games on the matrix, as it does with the men.

NET ratings are updated every day.

Texas (9-0), which scored its first win all-time over UConn on Sunday, was the highest-rated Big 12 team at No. 3. Only South Carolina and Stanford, which were ranked first and second, were ahead of the Longhorns.

The other Big 12 team in the Top 10 was Kansas State (7-1), who have beaten Iowa and lost to Iowa this season. The Hawkeyes were No. 6.

Baylor (7-0) was the only other Big 12 team in the Top 25, coming in at No. 14.

From there, the Big 12’s depth as a league thus far showed. West Virginia (7-0) was No. 31, while TCU (8-0) was No. 34. Both are led by first-year head coaches.

Kansas (3-4) and Oklahoma (6-2) were back-to-back at No. 49 and No. 50, respective. In spite of its losing record, Kansas has played one of the most difficult schedules so far this season, with three of its four losses coming to teams that are currently ranked.

Texas Tech (9-0) was No. 56, leading the rest of the Big 12 teams that were outside the Top 50.

Behind the Lady Raiders were UCF (7-0) at No. 66, Oklahoma State (4-3) at No. 67, BYU (6-2) at No. 71, Iowa State (4-3) at No. 73, Cincinnati (4-3) at No. 98 and Houston (5-1) at No. 100.

Looking ahead to next season’s 16-team Big 12, Utah was ranked No. 4, Colorado was ranked No. 19, Arizona was ranked No. 74 and Arizona State was ranked No. 102.
