Two Big 12 Teams Now in Top 10 of Women’s Basketball AP Poll

The Big 12 saw three of its teams remains in the AP Top 25 Women’s Basketball Top 25, released on Monday after Week 4 of the season.

Those teams included:

Texas at No. 5 (No. 10 last week);

Baylor at No. 10 (No. 13 last week);

Kansas State at No. 13 (No. 14 last week).

 

Plus, four Big 12 teams received votes but were outside the Top 25.

Texas (9-0) beat Oral Roberts, 112-74, and then beat UConn for the first time on Sunday, 80-68. Texas has just one game this week, as they host Long Beach State on Wednesday.   

Baylor (7-0) went on the road and beat SMU, 85-61, and then hosted Oregon on Sunday and beat the Ducks, 71-51. This week the Bears will face Delaware State on Thursday and Miami (FL) on Saturday.  

Kansas State (7-1) played just one game last week and handled Jackson State, 79-37. The Wildcats have two games this week, as they host McNeese on Wednesday and then face Missouri on Saturday in a neutral site game in St. Joseph, Mo.

Big 12 Teams Receiving Votes: Oklahoma 21, TCU 7, Texas Tech 4, West Virginia 1.
