The number of former Texas Tech quarterbacks serving as offensive coordinators around the country has grown by one on Tuesday as Seth Doege has been hired as the OC and quarterbacks coach at Marshall University.
Doege spent the 2023 season serving as the tight ends coach at Purdue, and was an offensive analyst at Ole Miss in 2022 before that.
Marshall head coach Charles Huff says he’s excited about adding a young, innovative offensive mind to the Thundering Herd staff.
“We’re really excited to have Seth join our staff,” Huff said of his new offensive coordinator. “Seth is a young, innovative offensive mind who will bring a lot of value to both our offense and our organization.”
Prior to his time at Ole Miss and Purdue, Doege spent three seasons at USC (2019-21) and Bowling Green (2016-18) as an offensive coach, and spent time with the Saskatchewan Rough Riders (2014-15) and Atlanta Falcons (2013) as a player before that.
Seth’s younger brother, Jarret, spent three seasons at West Virginia (2019-21) before transferring to Troy in 2022 and is now the quarterback for the Edmonton Elks.
