TCU senior tight end Jared Wiley turned in a career-best season in 2023, and earned All-Big 12 First Team honors as a result.
As one of the best red-zone targets in the conference, Wiley led all Big 12 tight ends with eight receiving scores this season. In total, he tallied 47 receptions for 520 yards and eight scores on the year, averaging 11.1 yards per reception.
Wiley had a career day against Baylor on Senior Day a few weeks ago, snagging seven receptions for 178 yards and two scores, helping lead the Horned Frogs to a 42-17 victory over their rivals.
The former Texas Longhorn was a huge weapon for TCU this season, and he will now get his chance to impress folks at the next level. While he’d already declared for the NFL Draft, Wiley has now accepted an invite to the 2024 Reese’s Senior Bowl.
Listed at 6-foot-7, 260 pounds, Wiley exhibits prototypical size for an NFL tight end and could be a real difference-maker at the next level, considering how much the tight end is utilized at the professional level.
While he’s not flying off draft boards right now, there’s a good chance that Wiley will catch some eyes at the Senior Bowl with his combination of size and athleticism, which should help his draft stock significantly ahead of the 2024 NFL Draft in April.
The 2024 Reese’s Senior Bowl is set for February 3, 2024, at 1:30 p.m. in Mobile, AL.
