Tyler Shough to Transfer to Louisville for 2024 Season
Former Texas Tech quarterback Tyler Shough has found his destination for the 2024 season, as the seventh-year senior announced he is headed to Louisville for his final year of eligibility.
Shough, 24, began his collegiate career at Oregon in 2018 and spent two years with the Ducks before transferring to Texas Tech. He spent three seasons in Lubbock and consistently dealt with the injury bug, which severely hampered his ability to be on the field. Despite making just 13 starts during his time with the Red Raiders, Shough was 9-4 and very effective in his time leading the TTU offense.
The best game of his career in Lubbock came in last year’s Texas Bowl against Ole Miss. Shough threw for 242 yards and accounted for three touchdowns in a 42-25 victory over the Rebels.
Over the course of his five-year career, Shough has thrown for 4,625 yards and 36 touchdowns in 27 career games combined at the two schools, with a career completion percentage of more than 63%.
Now, under Jeff Brohm at Louisville, Shough will have one more opportunity to stay healthy and end his collegiate career on a high note. Louisville went 10-3 this season and was defeated by Florida State in the ACC Championship this past Saturday.
