Cincinnati Lands Eastern Michigan Transfer Edge Mikah Coleman

NCAA Football: South Florida at Cincinnati

While Scott Satterfield and the Cincinnati Bearcats had a tough time last season adjusting to life in the Big 12 Conference, the team got some good news on Friday with the addition of Michigan transfer Mikah Coleman.

Coleman was a key player for Eastern Michigan last season as the senior pass rusher recorded four sacks and 39 total tackles for the Eagles.

In his two seasons at Eastern Michigan, Coleman recorded a total of 51 tackles and six sacks. Cincinnati has been active in the transfer portal this offseason as Coleman became the second player to commit to UC alongside Indiana transfer QB Brendan Sorsby.

Coming out of high school, Coleman was listed as a three-star prospect by the 247Sports index. He was also listed as the 127th-ranked player at his position and the 93rd-ranked player in the state of Ohio.

Coleman now heads to Cincinnati for his final season of eligibility after two seasons at the JUCO level, and two seasons at Eastern Michigan. While the Bearcats still have a chunk of departures left to address this offseason, the addition of Mikah Coleman will go a long way.
