Sonny Dykes and the TCU Horned Frogs added a new name to the Class of 2024 with the commitment of three-star safety Kaden McFadden.
McFadden flipped his commitment from Duke to TCU after taking a visit to Ft. Worth after TCU sent a late offer to the Texas native on November 30th.
McFadden is listed as a three-star prospect by the 247Sports index and currently checks in as the nation’s 1294th-ranked prospect. He is also listed as the 127th-ranked receiver in his class as well as the 188th overall player in the state of Texas.
McFadden released a statement on Monday morning that outlined his decision to de-commit from Duke saying, “After careful consideration, prayer, and conversations with my family I have decided to de-commit from Duke University. I want to thank the Duke staff and coaches for all the love shown throughout the process. Thank you Duke!”
The Texas native will now head to Ft. Worth instead of Durham for the upcoming season as McFadden gets set to help the TCU Horned Frogs and Sonny Dykes find their way back to the top of the Big 12 Conference.
