Kansas State Tight End Ben Sinnott Declares for NFL Draft
Chris Klieman and the Kansas State Wildcats lost a key player ahead of the 2024 season with junior tight end Ben Sinnott announcing on social media that he would be officially entering his name into the 2024 NFL Draft.
Sinnott, a former walk-on at K-State, emerged on the scene in 2022, turning heads en route to a Big 12 Championship as one of Will Howard’s favorite targets. The talented pass catcher brought in 31 catches for 447 yards and four scores as a sophomore which earned him First-Team All-Big 12 honors.
The Iowa native then followed up his impressive sophomore season by breaking the Kansas State record for most catches, yards, and touchdowns in a single season by a tight end in Manhattan with 49 catches for 676 yards, and six touchdowns as a junior.
Sinnott spoke on the decision to enter the draft and thanked K-State fans by saying, “K-State Nation, I could not be more grateful for the love you have shown since I arrived in 2020 as a walk-on. It has been a privilege playing for the best fans in the country.”
While Sinnott’s departure was mostly expected at this point in the eyes of Wildcats fans, the loss of Ben Sinnott becomes another chapter in the ongoing narrative of Chris Klieman working with a completely new team in 2024.
