Sonny Dykes and the TCU Horned Frogs have lost a key player ahead of the 2024 season with junior running back Emani Bailey announcing on social media that he would be officially entering his name into the 2024 NFL Draft.

Bailey spent two seasons with the Horned Frogs from 2022-2023 and totaled 254 carries for 1,459 yards and 10 touchdowns throughout his time in Ft. Worth. Before TCU, Bailey recorded 112 carries for 702 yards and eight touchdowns as a member of the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns.

The Texas native turned heads in his redshirt junior season under Sonny Dykes, totaling 223 carries for 1,209 yards and nine total scores to put himself on the NFL radar.

Bailey spoke on the decision to enter the draft thanking fans by saying, “To the fans, thank you for the continued support. You have helped us be the best that we can be. There was no better fan base to play for. Being able to come back and play for you all will always be special for me. I will be a Horned Frog for life.”

Bailey will likely become one of many departures from TCU this offseason, and with new players coming and going in the transfer portal each and every day, the 2024 Horned Frogs football team could have a plethora of new faces in starting jobs.
