Oklahoma State Lands Former UTEP S Kobe Hylton in Transfer Portal
While the transfer portal provides the opportunity for teams to lose key players through outgoing departures, it also has the ability to help a team bring in key players each offseason.
Mike Gundy and the Oklahoma State Cowboys recently added a new name to their squad ahead of the 2024 season with the commitment of former UTEP safety Kobe Kylton.
Hylton was a big piece for UTEP’s defense in 2023 where he recorded 54 total tackles, two forced fumbles, and four pass breakups. The Georgia native spent two seasons at UTEP totaling 145 stops, seven pass breakups, 0.5 sacks, and four forced fumbles.
Coming out of high school, Hylton was unranked by most major recruiting services, but after earning All-Conference USA honorable mention honors in his first season with Miners, Hylton will now take the field in Stillwater as a Cowboy under Mike Gundy in 2024.
Hylton became the Cowboys’ first addition through the transfer portal this offseason, but with the portal already featuring a record number of players, Mike Gundy’s squad will likely have some more names to chase in the near future.
