Texas’ Dylan Disu to Make Season Debut vs. LSU
Rodney Terry and the Texas Longhorns got a big piece of their 2023-24 roster back on Saturday with the announcement that senior forward Dylan Disu will make his season debut against LSU.
Disu participated in warmups ahead of Saturday’s matchup with LSU, which is a great sign after missing the start of the season with a lingering foot injury that kept him out at times in 2022-23.
Disu exploded onto the scene in the 2023 NCAA Tournament for the Longhorns where he averaged a scorching 22.5 points and 10 rebounds per game en route to the Longhorns’ Elite Eight appearance.
Disu was a solid player throughout the season averaging 8.8 points and 4.4 rebounds per game in 19 minutes played, but when given the opportunity to start for Rodney Terry’s squad in some of the biggest games of the year, Disu carved out a key role at Texas.
Disu joined the Longhorns in the Class of 2019 as a four-star prospect and the nation’s 123rd-ranked player. 247Sports listed Disu as the 21st-ranked power forward in his class and the 12th-ranked player in the state of Texas.
He is now set to make his season debut on Saturday against the LSU Tigers after missing the first nine games of the 2023-24 season with a foot injury.
