TCU Quarterback Chandler Morris Enters Transfer Portal

NCAA Football: Texas Christian at Houston

With transfer portal season officially upon us, college football fans are beginning to witness big names from their favorite teams announce their decision to enter the portal.

According to a report from On3’s Pete NakosTCU quarterback Chandler Morris is entering the transfer portal after spending the previous three seasons with the Horned Frogs.

Morris had an interesting season in Ft. Worth after being sidelined with injuries and eventually being replaced by true freshman Josh Hoover, which helped contribute to his decision to enter his name into the transfer portal.

Morris finished off his sophomore season with 1,532 yards and a touchdown to interception ratio of 12-5. The Texas native finished his fourth season of college football off by bringing his career total to 2,411 yards and a career touchdown to interception ratio of 16-5.

Coming out of high school, Morris was listed as a three-star prospect by the 247Sports index and checked in as the nation’s 448th-ranked prospect. He was also listed as the 18th-ranked quarterback in his class and the 61st-ranked player in the state of Texas.

TCU will now have a new spot to fill ahead of the 2024 season, but with Josh Hoover set in stone as the guy going forward, Morris will now look for a new team ahead of fall football.
