2025 Four-Star DL Brandon Brown Commits to Texas

NCAA Football: Texas at West Virginia

Steve Sarkisian and the Texas Longhorns added a new name to the Class of 2025 with the commitment of four-star defensive lineman Brandon Brown.

Brown chose the Longhorns over offers from 41 different schools including the likes of Georgia, Oklahoma, Michigan, Ohio State, Oregon, and more.

Brown is listed as a four-star prospect by the 247Sports index and is currently listed as the nation’s 296th-ranked prospect. He also checks in as the 31st-ranked player at his position and the 40th-ranked player in the state of Florida.

The Florida native spoke on his decision with 247Sports’ Hank South saying, “Texas just seemed to fit me and my family. I feel like if you’re an elite DT, why wouldn’t you want to play at Texas?”

“I like Everything,” Brown said. “Coaching staff, level of play, going to the SEC, and now competing for a national title. Coach Davis is one of the best out there His DTs right now are the best in the country. He is the guy when it comes to sending DTs to the league.”

Brown became the Longhorns’ third commit in the Class of 2025 joining four-star tight end Emaree Winston and four-star quarterback KJ Lacey. Brown, Winston, Lacey, and the rest of the Longhorns’ future commits will have a chance to watch their future team take the field on January 1st against Washington in the Sugar Bowl.
