Former Ball State DB Jordan Riley Transfers to Kansas State
While the transfer portal provides the opportunity for teams to lose key players through outgoing departures, it also has the ability to help a team bring in key players each offseason.
Chris Klieman and the Kansas State Wildcats landed their second player in two days through the transfer portal with the commitment of former Ball State defensive back Jordan Riley.
Jordan Riley was a massive piece of the Cardinals’ defense in 2023 and was one of the top tackles for the group in back-to-back seasons. Riley finished off the 2023 season with 61 tackles and eight pass break ups which brought his career total to 164 tackles and 20 pass breakups in two seasons.
Coming out of high school, Riley was listed as a two-star prospect by the 247Sports index and checked in as the nation’s 2540th-ranked player. He also was listed as the 223rd-ranked player at his position and the 58th-ranked player in the state of Maryland.
Klieman and the Wildcats have been on a heater over the past few days as Riley became the third player to join the Cats through the transfer portal this week. With the transfer portal already featuring a record number of entries this offseason, Klieman and company should have more names following closely behind.
