Former Ohio State LB Reid Carrico Commits to West Virginia
A former Ohio State linebacker is taking his talents to Morgantown, West Virginia and joining the Mountaineers. Reid Carrico made his announcement on social media on Tuesday night.
Carrico took his official visit to WVU last week and made a return trip for an unofficial this weekend, before committing on Tuesday.
Carrico is 6-foot-2, 235-pounds and picked the Mountaineers over North Carolina State, Michigan State, Pittsburgh, Toledo, Indiana, Marshall, Ohio and Tulsa.
He was a former four-star prospect coming out of Ironton High School in Ohio and held offers from the likes of Alabama, Oklahoma, Clemson, Florida, LSU, Michigan, Penn State, Tennessee and others.
Reid Carrico got buried on the Ohio State depth chart and mostly played special teams, while also picking up five tackles over his 19 games played.
He will have two years of eligibility remaining.
