Former Youngstown State DE Dylan Wudke Transfers to Kansas

NCAA Football: Texas at Kansas

Lance Leipold and the Kansas Jayhawks added a new name to their squad ahead of the 2024 season with the addition of former Youngstown State defensive end Dylan Wudke.

Wudke elected to join the Jayhawks after spending four seasons with the Penguins and will now take the field as a member of the Big 12 Conference under Lance Leipold.

While Wudke has spent four seasons as a member of Youngstown State, the majority of his production came over the course of his final two seasons. The Ohio native recorded 77 tackles, 20 tackles for loss and nine sacks in two years with the Penguins.

Wudke is a two-time Second Team All-MVFC player and was also named to the CSC Academic All-District team in 2022. The senior pass rusher tied for the team lead in sacks in his senior season alongside Anthony Johnson and Devin Lee.

With his decision to transfer to Kansas, Wudke became the Jayhawks third addition through the transfer portal this offseason joining Iowa State transfer DeShawn Hanika and Utah State transfer Devin Dye.

Wudke and the rest of the offseason additions will have a shot to watch their future team hit the field on the 2023 Guaranteed Rate Bowl against UNLV on Tuesday, December 26th at 8:00 PM CT.
