Kansas State Lands Highly-Coveted JUCO DL Malcolm Alcorn-Crowder

NCAA Football: Kansas State at Texas Tech

Chris Klieman and the Kansas State Wildcats added a new name to the Class of 2024 with the commitment of three-star JUCO defensive lineman Malcolm Alcorn-Crowder.

Alcorn-Crowder was a hot commodity this offseason among Power 5 universities as the Massachusetts native chose the Wildcats over offers from Florida, USC, South Carolina, Miami, Mississippi State, Houston, and more.

Alcorn-Crowder was listed as a three-star prospect by the 247Sports index and checked in as the nation’s 19th-ranked JUCO prospect. He also was listed as the seventh ranked player at his position and the sixth-ranked player from the state of Massachusetts.

Last season at Butler Community College, Alcorn-Crowder recorded 28 tackles, seven sacks, and two forced fumbles for the Grizzly. He joins fellow defensive lineman Travis Bates as one of three players to commit to Kansas State in the last three days.

247Sports’ Allen Trieu wrote about Malcolm Alcorn-Crowder in the recent JUCO rankings update story saying, “Originally from Massachusetts, Malcolm Alcorn-Crowder was a lean high school defensive end and basketball player who went to Butler Community College and blossomed into a Power Five recruit. We could see the 6-foot-6, 300-pound Alcorn-Crowder being a 3-4 end or a tackle in a four-man front.”

While Alcorn-Smith technically isn’t a transfer after graduating from Butler this offseason, he joins an impressive cast of players that the Wildcats have already brought in during the month of December.
