Watch: BYU Fan Wins New Honda in Three-Point Contest During Media Timeout
While the BYU Cougars have had an impressive start to the 2023 season on the basketball court, one BYU fan stole the show during Friday’s game against Bellarmine by winning a brand new Honda CRV during a media timeout.
To take home the grand prize, the contestant had to make a three-point shot from five different spots on the court and complete the around the world in under 60 seconds to leave with a new car.
While the contest winner took care of his business during the media timeout, BYU continued their impressive performance this season with a 102-59 win over Bellarmine.
After getting off to an impressive 11-1 start, Mark Pope’s group earned a mention in the AP Top 25 checking in at the No. 17 spot. BYU joins No. 2 Kansas, No. 3 Houston, No. 7 Oklahoma, No. 10 Baylor, and No. 19 Texas as ranked members of the Big 12 Conference.
While there is no guarantee that another fan will be driving home in a new car on Saturday, the BYU Cougars take the court next on December 30th against the Wyoming Cowboys to close out the non-conference schedule.
