Watch: Former K-State CB JuJu Brents Fined by NFL Over Legal Hit

NCAA Football: Kansas State at Texas Tech

Former Kansas State cornerback JuJu Brents was fined $8,280 by the NFL for a hit that wasn’t flagged in the Colts Week 15 matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

While Brents did not appear to make any contact with the helmet of Steelers running back Najee Harris, the rookie corner learned a tough lesson about tackling in the NFL after losing nearly $10,000 over a routine tackle that was not flagged by the officiating crew.

While Brents is not the first player to fall victim to the NFL’s unrealistic and unusual policies when it comes to fining players, he is the most recent player to have to deal with it.

Brents voiced his frustration about the play by responding to the post saying, “Mannn it’s supposed to be the season of giving, league tryna have me play for free.”

While the Indiana native has had some injury setbacks in his first season with the Colts, Brents has shown some real upside and has recorded 28 tackles, one forced fumble, one interception, and three pass breakups on the outside for Indianapolis.

Brents and the Colts take the field next on Sunday, December 31st against the Las Vegas Raiders as Indianapolis continues its path towards the NFL Playoffs.
