Three Big 12 Prop Bets to Watch in the Texas Bowl, Oklahoma State vs. Texas A&M

Syndication: The Ames Tribune

There are two things in life that everyone loves, watching college football and making money. In today’s story, I’m going to try to help you accomplish both.

As the Oklahoma State Cowboys get set to take on the Texas A&M Aggies in the 2023 Texas Bowl, we here at Heartland College Sports want to provide you with three prop bets to keep your eyes on as well as a superstar staff parlay.

BRENNAN PRESLEY 78.5+ RECEIVING YARDS

I’ll be straight with you here, Texas A&M’s defense has been one of the top units in the SEC this season, however, due to opt-outs and loads of offseason turbulence I feel confident about Oklahoma State getting the job done.

Outside of Ollie Gordon, (who for some reason does not have any rushing prop bets listed at this point in the day), Brennan Presley has been one of the most consistent contributors for the Cowboys this season and I expect him to have a big day against the Aggies.

The justification for Presley comes in the fact that he has recorded 33 catches for 372 yards in the last three games alone. The Oklahoma native is fresh off his best season in Stillwater with 85 grabs for 839 yards and six scores in his senior season.

ALAN BOWMAN 260.5+ PASSING + RUSHING YARDS

Typically when sports betting I try to stay away from the “He’s got moxie” argument but friends let me tell you, Alan Bowman has enough moxie to last a lifetime.

Bowman is set to likely finish his career off at NRG Stadium on Friday night which conveniently is the same place he started his career off in 2018 with Texas Tech.

The Texas native is fresh off of his best statistical season in college football as he finished the 2023 season off with 270 completions for 3,058 yards and a touchdown to interception ratio of 13-12. While the test won’t be easy, I believe that Texas A&M will focus the majority of its resources on stopping OIllie Gordon and the Cowboys’ rushing attack which should open some passing lanes down the field for Bowman to find some open receivers.

I’m rolling with Alan Jackson Bowman to sling the ball around way down yonder at the Chattahoochee.

ALEX HALE OVER 2.5 EXTRA POINTS MADE

While Texas A&M surrendered the third least amount of points per game in the SEC behind Georgia and Alabama, the team only faced three teams in the top half of the conference in terms of total points scored.

Oklahoma State fell in the middle of the pack in points per game with 29.5, but with the best running back in the country lining up in the Cowboys backfield on Friday night, Texas A&M will have some adjustments to focus on.

I expect Oklahoma State to find the end zone at least three times in this game and could easily see the final score being somewhere around 31-27. Give me Alex Hale to convert three extra points en route to a win in the Texas Bowl.

SUPERSTAR STAFF PARLAY +950 ODDS

  • Brennan Presley Alternate Over 100 Receiving Yards
  • Ollie Gordon Anytime TD
  • Le’Veon Moss Anytime TD
  • Oklahoma State Moneyline

The bets outlined in the HCS Superstar Staff Parlay all coincide with Neal Brown’s squad taking care of business against North Carolina in the 2023 Duke’s Mayo Bowl. While nothing is ever set in stone in the world of sports betting, I feel pretty good about each bet outlined in this article. Have fun, bet smart, enjoy the game, and let’s go make some money!
