Cobee Bryant Returning to Kansas in 2024

NCAA Football: Texas at Kansas

Kansas Jayhawks fans got the best news of the offseason so far with the announcement that two-time All-Big 12 defensive back Cobee Brant is returning to Lawrence in 2024.

In 2023, Bryant earned First-Team All-Big 12 honors after solidifying himself as one of the top coverage players in the league, and in the country.

Bryant led the Jayhawks in interceptions as a junior reeling in four picks in 2023. He also totaled 32 tackles, one sack, one forced fumble, and five pass breakups for the Jayhawks.

Coming out of high school, Bryant was listed as a three-star prospect by the 247Sports index as well as the nation’s 564th-ranked player. He also checked in as the 41st-ranked player at his position and the 26th-ranked player in the state of Alabama.

Bryant helped lead the Jayhawks to a 49-36 win in the 2023 Guaranteed Rate Bowl, as Kansas took down the UNLV Rebels. In his final game as a junior, Bryant recorded two tackles, one sack, and one interception to help seal the deal. Getting Bryant back for his senior season in Lawrence is massive for Lance Leipold’s squad as they try to get over the hump in 2024 and compete for a Big 12 title.
