Iowa State OL Jarrod Hufford Returning to Iowa State in 2024
Iowa State Cyclones fans got a great piece of news on Monday with the announcement that senior offensive lineman Jarrod Hufford is returning to Ames in 2024.
Hufford has spent the previous four seasons with Iowa State and will now return as a fifth-year senior to use his final season of college eligibility.
Hufford has been one of the Cyclones most consistent players on the offensive line through his career as the Ohio native has started every game since the 2021 season.
Coming out of high school, Hufford was listed as a three-star prospect by the 247Sports index as well as the nation’s 884th-ranked player. He also checked in as the 71st-ranked player at his position and the 41st-ranked player in the state of Ohio.
Hufford announced the decision on Instagram in a post that reads,” Over the past years, Iowa State has been nothing but a dream for me. It provided me with the tools and opportunities to better myself and the people around me. I am forever grateful for what this great university has done for me. After talks with my family and my coaches, I have decided to come back for my last year of eligibility. I still have more to give to this team and this great university. I owe everything to this staff, and the team, and plan on giving them what we all have worked so hard for.”
Hufford and the Cyclones kick off the 2024 season on Saturday, August 31st against North Dakota in the non-conference schedule.
