Look: ESPN’s Bourbon Street Shot During Sugar Bowl Goes Horribly Wrong With Flasher

NCAA Football: Western Kentucky at Wisconsin

It’s a staple in live sports to come back or go into a commercial break with a live shot of the city the game is being played in. But things took a turn for the worst during Texas’ Sugar Bowl loss to Washington on Monday night in New Orleans.

ESPN flashed, no pun intended, to Bourbon Street, always a dicey proposition, when a flasher accidentally graced millions of television screens across America.

Frankly, given all the big sporting events that take place in New Orleans, from bowl games to Final Fours to Super Bowls and more, I’m surprised this hasn’t happened before.

But, I guess there is a first time for everything, including a flasher appearing on live TV during the Sugar Bowl. Luckily, it was the late-night game and hopefully most of the kids were in bed. If not, they’ve certainly got a story for their friends when they go back to school this week.
