Oklahoma State Cowboys fans got another piece of good news on Friday with the announcement of junior safety Kendal Daniels returning to OSU in 2024.

In 2023, Daniels finished second on the team in tackles recording an impressive 105 stops. With his return, the Cowboys now retain the likes of Daniels, RB Ollie Gordon, WR Brennan Presley, and QB Alan Bowman.

Daniels finished fourth in the Big 12 Conference in total tackles with 105 trailing Iowa State‘s Beau Freyler, UCF‘s Jason Johnson, and his teammate, Nickolas Martin, who led the league with 140 recorded tackles.

Coming out of high school, Daniels was listed as a four-star prospect by the 247Sports index as well as the nation’s 42nd-ranked player. He also checked in as the fourth-ranked player at his position and the top-ranked player in the state of Oklahoma.

Oklahoma State’s offseason has been flawless so far with the announcement of Ollie Gordon and Brennan Presley both returning to OSU. To add another level of promise to the Cowboys offseason, Oklahoma State quarterback Alan Bowman was granted a seventh-year of eligibility by the NCAA to return to the field in 2024.

Daniels and the Cowboys finished off their season on a high note taking down the Texas A&M Aggies in the Texas Bowl where the Oklahoma native finished with an impressive stat line of seven tackles and one interception.
