Texas Tech guard Pop Isaacs was accused of sexually assaulting a minor while on the team’s trip to the Bahamas for the Battle 4 Atlantis in November.

According to ESPN’s Myron Metcalf, the lawsuit was filed in Lubbock County District Court by the parents of the girl who says she was sexually assaulted. ESPN obtained a copy of the lawsuit documents and outlined the alleged incident.

While the girl was 17 at the time of the incident with Isaacs, the age of consent in the Bahamas is set at 16. However, the lawsuit states that the girl was intoxicated at the time of the assault and could not give consent.

The report mentions that a Texas Tech booster present at the situation bought drinks for Isaacs and one of his teammates. The lawsuit states that Isaac and his teammate were in a room with a 17-year-old girl, and a 16-year-old girl. Murphy reports that the 17-year-old then followed Isaacs to another room, where she was sexually assaulted after “attempting to fight him off.”

Isaacs has been one of the Red Raiders’ biggest contributors this season in Lubbock. The Las Vegas native is averaging 15.8 points, 3.4 assists, and 2.9 rebounds per game and has helped lead the Red Raiders to an 11-2 start under Grant McCasland.

Grant McCasland and the Texas Tech Red Raiders are set to tip off Big 12 play on Saturday, January 6th against the 20th-ranked Texas Longhorns in Austin.
