Former Oklahoma State quarterback Gunnar Gundy elected to commit to OU in the transfer portal. Well, maybe not the OU you’re thinking of.

Gundy chose to transfer to Ohio University after spending three years in Stillwater as a member of the Oklahoma State Cowboys. The Oklahoma native heads to Ohio with three years of eligibility remaining.

Gundy spent three seasons in Stillwater playing for his father, Mike Gundy, and ended his career as a Cowboy with 40 completions for for 449 yards and four scores. Gundy also added some explosiveness on the ground as he totaled 35 carries for 135 yards and a score.

Coming out of high school, Gundy was unranked by most major recruiting services. The Oklahoma native elected to walk-on at OSU instead of heading to his offers of Eastern Michigan and Toledo.

Gundy will now join an Ohio team that finished 10-3 in 2023 with a conference record of 6-2 in the MAC. The Bobcats finished off their season with a dominant 41-21 win over Georgia Southern in the Myrtle Beach Bowl.

Gundy and the Bobcats will kick off the 2024 season against Syracuse on Saturday, August 31st.
