Oklahoma Lands USC OL Michael Tarquin in Transfer Portal
Brent Venables and the Oklahoma Sooners brought in former USC offensive lineman Michael Tarquin through the transfer portal to add some depth in the trenches ahead of the team’s move to the SEC.
Tarquin spent four seasons with the Florida Gators from 2019-2022 before transferring to USC for the 2023 season. After one year in LA, Tarquin is on the move again, this time heading to Norman.
Tarquin saw action in 34 games during his four seasons with Florida recording a total of 20 starts. The Florida native adds some versatility to the Sooners O-line as Tarquin recorded 10 starts at left guard, and the other 10 at left tackle.
Coming out of high school, Tarquin was listed as a four-star prospect by the 247Sports index and checked in as the nation’s 290th-ranked prospect. He was also listed as the 22nd-ranked player at his position and the 39th-ranked player in the state of Florida.
Tarquin becomes the Sooners’ seventh addition through the transfer portal this offseason joining players like Miami Ohio’s Caiden Woullard, UT Martin’s Sam Franklin, Purdue’s Deion Burks, and more.
Oklahoma kicks off their 2024 season against Temple on Saturday, August 31st.
