2025 Four-Star ATH Malachi Curvey Commits to Kansas

NCAA Football: Texas at Kansas

Lance Leipold and the Kansas Jayhawks added a new name to the Class of 2025 with the commitment of four-star athlete Malachi Curvey.

Curvey, a native of Iowa, elected to join the Jayhawks after receiving offers from four different schools including Iowa State, Kansas State, and Missouri.

Coming out of Waukee Senior High School, Curvey is listed as a four-star prospect by the 247Sports index and currently checks in as the nation’s 278th-ranked prospect. He is also listed as the 14th-ranked player at his position and the third-ranked player in the state of Iowa.

With his commitment, Curvey becomes the Jayhawks’ second prospect to commit in the Class of 2025 joining three-star quarterback David McComb in heading to Lawrence.

“That junior day just kind of just put the cherry on top for us,” Warner told 247’s Michael Swain. “One thing my family really cares about is the academic side of stuff. And one thing they told us that was super special was that they put their athletes in tutoring and then you have to prove your way out of it. At other schools, you get tutoring once you’ve failed, they’ll wait on it. I liked that about KU.”

While the 2024 season is still the better part of eight months away from kicking off, Lance Leipold and the Jayhawks are doing everything they can to put themselves in position to compete for a Big 12 title in the fall.
