Cincinnati Adds Former New Mexico DB Mehki Miller in Transfer Portal
Scott Satterfield and the Cincinnati Bearcats added a new defensive back to their roster ahead of the 2024 season with the addition of former New Mexico State cornerback Mehki Miller through the transfer portal.
Miller a former two-star prospect from Illinois, spent the previous two seasons with the Aggies after starting his career off at Miami Ohio.
As a fifth-year senior in 2023, Miller recorded 59 total tackles, two interceptions, and four pass breakups. Through five years of college football, Miller totaled 100 tackles, one sack, and two interceptions.
Coming out of high school, Miller was listed as a two-star prospect by the 247Sports index as well as the nation’s 2722nd-ranked prospect. He also checked in as the 257th-ranked cornerback in his class and the 58th-ranked player in the state of Illinois.
Miller became the Bearcats’ 12th addition through the transfer portal this offseason joining Indiana’s Brendan Sorsby, Ohio State’s Evan Pryor, FAU’s Tony Johnson, and more.
While the college football season is still the better part of eight months away, Cincinnati kicks off their 2024 season on Saturday, August 31st against the Towson Tigers.
