UCF Lands Former FSU Transfer WR Goldie Lawrence

Gus Malzahn and the UCF Knights brought a new player to Orlando ahead of the 2024 season with the addition of former Florida State wide receiver Goldie Lawrence through the transfer portal.

Lawrence, a former three-star prospect from Florida, spent the previous season at Florida State after electing to join the Seminoles over the Knights in the 2023 cycle.

Lawrence was a solid player at Seminole High School, where he totaled totaled 92 catches for 1,495 yards with 21 touchdowns and added 139 rushing yards and nine touchdowns on the ground. As a senior in 2022, Lawrence made 27 grabs for 471 yards and seven touchdowns.

Coming out of high school, Lawrence was listed as a three-star prospect by the 247Sports index as well as the nation’s 494th-ranked prospect. He also checked in as the 69th-ranked receiver in his class and the 88th-ranked player in the state of Florida.

Lawrence became the Knights’ 12th addition through the transfer portal this offseason joining Arkansas’ KJ Jefferson, Texas Tech’s Jesiah Pierre, UNLV’s Zavier Carter, and more.

While the college football season is still the better part of eight months away, UCF kicks off their 2024 season on Saturday, August 31st against the New Hampshire Wildcats.
