UCF 2024 Home Opener Moved Up to August 29th

Gus Malzahn and the UCF Knights are coming off their first season in the Big 12, a 6-7 campaign that ended disappointingly with a 30-17 loss to Georgia Tech in the Gasparilla Bowl.

But, if you consider that the Knights were the only Big 12 newcomer to make a bowl game, it’s hard to call the 2023 season a “disappointment. Still, UCF fans have grown fond of the success they’ve seen over the past decade.

There’s still plenty of excitement around the program however, and with everyone turning their sights toward the 2024 season already, Knights fans are counting the days on their calendar until its time for the Bounce House to get rocking.

If you’re one of those fans, I’ve got great news for you: you can go ahead and knock two more days off the calendar.

According toFBSchedules.com, the Knights are moving their season-opener against New Hampshire up two days to Thursday, August 29.

While New Hampshire doesn’t bring a ton of excitement as far as name recognition goes, but some of the newcomers and returning contenders that UCF will have in 2024 should be plenty to get FBC Mortgage Stadium rocking.

Offensively, they’ll return both Kobe Hudson and RJ Harvey, plus they added Arkansas transfer quarterback KJ Jefferson.

Add to that a plethora of additions on the defensive side of the ball and there’s a lot of excitement about what could be in store for the Knights in 2024.
