Watch: Baylor G Jada Walker Banks in Full-Court Shot
Baylor‘s junior guard Jada Walker hit a crazy shot on Saturday afternoon banking in a full-court buzzer-beater in the first quarter of Baylor’s game against Iowa State.
With 1.4 seconds let in the first quarter of Saturday’s game, Jada Walker took the inbounds pass and hit one of the best shots of the year from the opposing free throw line.
Walker gave the fourth-ranked Lady Bears a 24-11 lead heading into the second quarter with her shot that helped the Lady Bears build a solid first half lead. Despite the shot banking in, unranked Iowa State would go on to rally back and earn a 66-63 win over No. 4 Baylor.
Iowa State trailed for 27 minutes of action but shut down Baylor in the fourth quarter which helped contribute to the massive comeback. Walker played 33 minutes for the Lady Bears against Iowa State and scored 14 points and recorded six assists.
While Walker’s shot will likely be featured on SportsCenter Top 10 after Saturday’s games, the loss marks the second loss of the season, as well as the second straight for the Lady Bears in Big 12 Conference play.
Baylor takes the floor next on Saturday, January 20th against the UCF Knights.
