Jedd Fisch Hired as Next Washington Huskies Football Coach: Report
Just two days after Jedd Fisch emerged as a potential candidate for the Washington job opening, the former Arizona head coach is set to join the Huskies as their next head coach on a blank-year deal, according to Action Network’s Brett McMurphy.
Fisch will now head to Seattle after spending the previous three seasons in Tucson where he helped orchestrate a major turnaround for the Arizona football program.
The Washington job was open for all of two days. The program scrambled to find their replacement for Kalen DeBoer after the former Washington coach made the decision to succeed Nick Saban at Alabama.
Fisch was one of the most impressive coaches in all of college football in 2023 leading the Wildcats to a 10-3 record and a victory over No. 12 Oklahoma in the Alamo Bowl.
Before joining the Wildcats in 2021, Fisch spent time at multiple different positions across both the college level and professional level including stops at Florida, Minnesota, Miami, Michigan, and UCLA as well as the Houston Texans, Baltimore Ravens, Denver Broncos, Seattle Seahawks, Jacksonville Jaguars, Los Angeles Rams, and the New England Patriots.
And now, the clock ticks for the Arizona Wildcats to find their next head coach as they get set to join the Big 12 Conference for the 2024 college football season.
