How To Watch Big 12 Biggest Women’s Basketball Games For Week 11: Iowa State at Texas Tech, Kansas at K-State
The Big 12 women’s basketball season hits Week 11 with a full slate of games on three days this week as we enter the third full week of league action.
There are games on Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday along withthe first of the week-long byes during conference. Baylor, Cincinnati, UCF and Oklahoma will not play during the week and return to the floor on Saturday.
Here’s the complete schedule, how to watch each game and, if you’re so inclined, the three must-watch games of the week.
Iowa State at Texas Tech
How to Watch: 6 p.m., Wednesday, Big 12 Now on ESPN+ (Sign up here for ESPN Plus for $10.99 per month and cancel at any time.)
All the ingredients are there for a classic slip-up game. Iowa State is undefeated. The Cyclones are going on the road after a week at comfortable Hilton Coliseum and beating two ranked opponents. They’re in a situation few envisioned. Lubbock is a tough place to play and the Lady Raiders are a little desperate for a win.
This game really comes down to whether the Lady Raiders have the personnel to handle Cyclones post Audi Crooks. She’s in a groove right now and Texas Tech has quality forwards. But can one, or can that group collectively, slow Crooks down?
Kansas at Kansas State
How To Watch: 1 p.m., Saturday, Big 12 Now on ESPN+
Kansas State now has a massive target on its back. Not only are the Wildcats tied for the Big 12 league but they’re nationally ranked and highly deserving of it. This is a well-balanced offensive team that isn’t getting enough credit for its defense.
It’s a rivalry game, of course, but Kansas is in desperation mode and it will be their second road game of the week after facing Texas. If the Jayhawks lose to the Longhorns, they will absolutely need this game. If Kansas beats Texas, well imagine the wave of momentum KU will be on after its 0-3 lead start?
Either way, tune in.
Texas at Oklahoma State
How to Watch: 2 p.m., Saturday, Big 12 Now on ESPN+
Last season Texas went to Gallagher-Iba and lost to Oklahoma State. The Longhorns were without Aaliyah Moore for the season before that game. This time its guard Rori Harmon. Still, Texas is dangerous because this might be the best offensive team Vic Schaefer has had and freshman Madison Booker is having a great season.
OSU is dealing with depth issues. The Cowgirls’ starting five is talented but there isn’t much quality depth behind them. Given how Texas likes to pressure on defense, how Lior Garzon, Anna Gret Asi and Quincy Noble handle that pressure may decide the game.
