Kansas State G Dai Dai Ames Game-Time Decision vs. Baylor

NCAA Basketball: NCAA Tournament East Regional-Florida Atlantic vs Kansas State

Jerome Tang and the Kansas State Wildcats could be without one of their key members on Tuesday evening against Baylor with freshman guard Dai Dai Ames recovering from an ankle injury.

According to a report from the Kansas City Star’s Kellis Robinett, freshman guard Dai Dai Ames was seen on the Wildcats’ bench in a walking boot for the Texas Tech game, and is now listed as a game-time decision vs. Baylor.

Ames has been a solid player for the Wildcats this season averaging 4.8 points, 2.4 assists, and one rebound per game in his first season of college basketball.

Coming out of high school, Ames was listed as a four-star prospect by the 247Sports index and checked in as the nation’s 64th-ranked prospect. He also checked in as the 13th-ranked point guard in his class and the second-ranked player in the state of Illinois.

Ames biggest game of the season came against Central Arkansas where he recorded 14 points, three assists, and three rebounds.

The loss of Ames becomes one of many this season for Jerome Tang’s squad as the team is currently operating without senior guard Ques Glover who is expected to miss the remainder of the 2023-24 season.
