Cincinnati C Aziz Bandaogo Dressed for TCU Game
Wes Miller and the Cincinnati Bearcats have been without one of their star players for the past few games, but after a Tuesday report from CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein, Bearcats fans have a reason to feel optimistic heading into their matchup against TCU.
Rothstein noted that Cincinnati senior forward Aziz Bandaogo was seen warming up for Saturday’s contest against TCU and is dressed to play.
Bandaogo has been a big factor for Wes Miller’s squad this season as the Senegal native currently averages 8.4 points and 8.8 rebounds per game on 63.9% shooting from the field. Bandaogo joined the Bearcats in the transfer portal this offseason after spending time with both Akron and Utah Valley.
Coming out of high school, Bandaogo was unranked by most major recruiting services, but eventually worked himself into a four-star transfer prospect by the 247Sports index. He checked in as the 17th-ranked player available in the portal as well as the fifth-ranked center.
Bandaogo’s biggest game of the season came against Bryant on December 12th where he recorded 12 points, 17 rebounds, four blocks, and one assist.
Should Bandaogo take the court on Tuesday against TCU, the Bearcats should have an inside advantage over one of the sneakiest teams in the Big 12 Conference.
