EA Sports College Football Launch Date Set for July 12, 2024: Report
While EA Sports may have dropped the ball during halftime of the National Championship Game, according to a report from Gators Breakdown’s David Waters, college football video game fans have an idea of when to expect the newest release.
Waters reports that sources have leaked the release date for the upcoming EA Sports NCAA College Football video game which is set to drop on July 12th, 2024.
EA Sports’ upcoming release is been building for the better part of a decade since the last release following the 2013 season. Fans of EA Sports’ NCAA Football games fell in love with game modes like “Dynasty” and “Road to Glory” modes that are both set to return in the upcoming installment. Other expected immersive features in the game included throwback uniforms, helmet stickers, team mascots, and ESPN personalities included in the game.
There was some recent anxiety among college football fans that the game’s development might be in turmoil after The BrandR Group filed a lawsuit against EA claiming tortious interference back in June. However, BrandR settled with OneTeam Partners in November and dropped the suit against EA Sports.
“We are pleased that BrandR has decided to withdraw their claims without any payment from EA,” an EA spokesperson said in a statement released Nov. 30 “We’ve been clear from the beginning that this suit had no merit. Our focus continues to be on directly licensing individual college athlete name and likeness rights through an opt-in program that will give college athletes the choice if they want to be in our game. We’re pleased to move on from these claims and look forward to delivering EA SPORTS College Football in Summer 2024.”
While the announcement has not been officially confirmed by EA Sports at the time of this update, fans of college football video games officially have a date in mind of when to expect another installment of one of the greatest releases in sports video game history.
