Former Army WR Isaiah Alston Transfers to Iowa State
Matt Campbell and the Iowa State Cyclones added a new name to their roster ahead of the 2024 season snagging a wide receiver transfer from Army.
Former Army wideout Isaiah Alston elected to join the Cyclones in the transfer portal according to a Friday report from ActionNetworkHQ’s Brett McMurphy.
Alston was a solid contributor for Army’s offensive attack in 2023 totaling nine grabs for 266 yards and two scores. Despite Army being known for its stellar commitment to running the football, Alston has been the Black Nights’ leading receiver for three straight seasons. In four years at Army, Alston recorded 49 catches for 1,031 yards and six scores.
Coming out of high school, Alston was unranked by most major recruiting services but after working his way into the top receiver for Army, Alston will now team up with the Iowa State Cyclones and Rocco Becht.
Alston becomes the Cyclones’ third addition in the transfer portal this offseason joining ULM’s Kenard Snyder and Wisconsin’s Dylan Barrett. Iowa State finished sixth in the league in the 2023 season, and after some solid additions through the transfer portal, Matt Campbell’s squad could slip into the dark-horse conversation as a title contender.
