Iowa State G Tamin Lipsey Out vs. TCU
TJ Otzelberger and the Iowa State Cyclones will be without one of their key members on Saturday with sophomore guard Tamin Lipsey sidelined with a shoulder injury against TCU.
According to a report from the CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein, Lipsey will miss the Cyclones fifth game in Big 12 Conference play with a shoulder injury.
Lipsey has been one of the Cyclones biggest stars this season and is currently averaging 14.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 5.6 assists as a sophomore for Iowa State.
Coming out of high school, Lipsey was listed as a three-star prospect by the 247Sports index and checked in as the nation’s 192nd-ranked prospect. He also checked in as the 31st-ranked point guard in his class and the second-ranked player in the state of Iowa.
Lipsey’s biggest game of the season came against Prairie View A&M on December 10th where he recorded 19 points, five assists, four rebounds, and an impressive eight steals.
Despite the absence of Lipsey, Iowa State will take the court on Saturday, January 20th at 1:00 PM CT against Jamie Dixon and the TCU Horned Frogs.
