Kansas State G Dai Dai Ames Available vs. Oklahoma State
Jerome Tang and the Kansas State Wildcats will have one of their key members available for Saturday afternoon’s game against Oklahoma State with freshman guard Dai Dai Ames returning from an ankle injury.
According to a report from the CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein, Ames will be dressed and available for the Wildcats’ fifth game in Big 12 Conference play.
Ames has been a solid player for the Wildcats this season averaging 4.8 points, 2.4 assists, and one rebound per game in his first season of college basketball.
Coming out of high school, Ames was listed as a four-star prospect by the 247Sports index and checked in as the nation’s 64th-ranked prospect. He also checked in as the 13th-ranked point guard in his class and the second-ranked player in the state of Illinois.
Ames biggest game of the season came against Central Arkansas where he recorded 14 points, three assists, and three rebounds.
Getting Ames back on the court is a massive plus for the Wildcats back court as Kansas State point guard Tylor Perry has operated as the team’s lone ball handler in the previous three contests. Perry is averaging just over 39 minutes per game over the last three and 36.7 on the year.
