How To Watch Big 12 Biggest Women’s Basketball Games For Week 12
The Big 12 women’s basketball season hits Week 12 with a full slate of games over five days this week as we enter the fourth full week of league action.
There are games on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday with a couple of national showcase games. Some teams are off, too. BYU and West Virginia do not play during the week and return to the schedule this weekend.
Here’s the complete schedule, how to watch each game and, if you’re so inclined, the three must-watch games of the week.
Kansas State at Baylor
How to Watch: Monday, 7:30 p.m., FS1
The only Big 12 women’s game of the night and it gets a national showcase on FS1. Kansas State will play its second game without center Ayoka Lee but the goal hasn’t changed — win and stay in first place in the Big 12.
The Bears have to pick up some games on the Wildcats if they want to get back to the top of the Big 12 standings. Picking up one against them would help the Bears when it comes to tiebreakers as we get closer to the end of the regular season.
Oklahoma at Texas
How To Watch: Wednesday, 6 p.m., ESPNU
The rivalry will continue in the SEC but for right now last year’s Big 12 regular season co-champions are still in contention to win the Big 12 regular-season title. We’re forgetting that the Sooners are right in the mix, even as they try to navigate their first season without Taylor Robertson, Ana Llanusa and Madi Williams. Skylar Vann is getting it done. She now has help from freshman Sahara Williams.
Texas continues to find ways to win without guard Rori Harmon. Coach Vic Schaefer is tweaking his starting lineup like never before and his frontcourt, along with freshman Madison Booker, are leading the way.
Iowa State at West Virginia
How to Watch: Saturday, 1 p.m., Big 12 Now on ESPN+
A rematch of their game from a few weeks ago when WVU was ranked and Iowa State was not. Since then the Cyclones lost their first league game, the Mountaineers got right and they will be coming off a week off.
Can WVU handle ISU center Audi Crooks inside? Can ISU deal with WVU’s pressure defense? Whoever does it better likely wins this one.
