BYU F Noah Waterman Game-Time Decision vs. Houston
Mark Pope and the BYU Cougars could be without one of their key members on Tuesday night against Houston with senior forward Noah Waterman listed as a game-time decision.
According to a report from CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein, Waterman is dealing with an undisclosed injury and could be unavailable for the Cougars’ sixth game in Big 12 Conference play.
Waterman has been a major contributor for the Cougars this season averaging 10.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, and one assist per game in his fourth season of college basketball. The New York native is currently shooting 44% from the field, 37.4% from three, and 81.3% from the charity stripe this season.
Coming out of high school, Waterman was unranked by most major recruiting services, but after spending two years with Detroit Mercy from 2020-2022, the 6-foot-11 forward has become a star in Provo.
Waterman’s biggest game of the season came against Arizona State on November 23rd where he recorded 24 points, seven rebounds, and one assist.
Getting Waterman back on the court would be massive for the Cougars as they get set to take on the fourth-ranked Houston Cougars in Provo on Saturday, January 23rd at 8:00 PM CT.
