AAC Gets Crushed After Labeling Itself ‘Most Competitive Basketball Conference’
The AAC woke up on Thursday morning with the dream of being a major talking point on social media by nightfall. Let the record show that it did happen, just not in the way the league had originally hoped for.
The American Athletic Conference put out a tweet on Thursday night that reads, “We’re the most competitive basketball conference in the country. That’s it. That’s the tweet.”
Cue the music for thousands of fans across the country preparing to put the AAC on a poster.
The destruction of the league continued through the night as the post was greeted with more than 350,000 impressions and thousands of quote tweets bashing the decision to hit send on the tweet.
Perhaps my favorite response to the AAC’s claims came from none other than Barstool USF who openly called for the league to stop making such ridiculous claims.
